Meditation and Pain Relief

Meditation is a practice by which an individual uses a variety of  techniques – such as mindfulness, focusing on an object, mantras, imagery, sound  – to cultivate self-awareness, improve relaxation and focus, to achieve a state of mental clarity, stability and calm.

Research has shown that meditation may significantly reduce stressanxietydepression, and pain, and enhance peace, perception, self-concept, and well-being.
